The Imani Group seeks the elimination of Sexism, Classism, Ageism and Racism (SCARs) in the global community. We are in persistent pursuit of the collective vision by advocating for the equitable advancement of all groups of people, notably underserved communities. We continue to seek opportunities to serve our communities through leadership, authentic engagement, community
development and growth.

The Imani Group, Inc. is a community based non-profit grassroots organization. We share in active partnership and collaboration with other agencies, organizations and institutions in the community. Our greatest resource share is the grassroots organization that empowers and uplifts a community of people to ideals that allow them growth, development and sustainability. 

Our Mission:

THE IMANI GROUP, INC. collaborates with agencies, colleges and universities, business, civic and faith communities and organizations to develop and implement holistic programs to heal the SCARs of society.

  • Our Visionary:

    Reverend Brendolyn Jenkins Boseman is the Executive Director and is the visionary of the Imani Group.  She was born and raised with the purpose to bring forth change for the world. From a young age, Brendolyn has shown leadership through service and community building.  Reverend Brendolyn Jenkins Boseman is the Senior Pastor of Hudson Memorial CME Church in Augusta, Georgia. She works tirelessly in the areas Criminal Justice, Environmental Justice, Social Justice 
    and Youth Leadership Development. She is an instructor for the BASICS World of Work and EMERGE re-entry programs within the Pre-Release, Diversion and Transitional Correctional Centers in Georgia and South Carolina. 

    She is also a member of the Mayor of Augusta’s Re-Entry Task Force and as a Healing Community-Station of Hope through Georgia’s Prison Re-Entry Initiative. Rev. Jenkins is recognized for her activism in the area of Environmental Justice, having attended United Nations Conferences on Climate Change as a delegate. The Imani Group serves as a community partner for the U. S. Department of Energy, U. S. Environmental Protection Agency and SC Department of Health and Environmental Control. Rev. Jenkins is the first female national co-chair of the African American Ministers Leadership Council and African American Ministers in Action. 

    She brings to the consciousness of other faith leaders their duty to be prophetic voices "Speak Truth TO power but also Speak Truth WITH Power”.
    Board of Directors:

    Board of Directors comprised of a diverse council of leaders. This diversity is achieved by representation
    of faith based, business, community, and youth members. Each member of the Board dedicates their focus to a very particular area that utilizes their expertise and passions yet remaining cognizant of the broader mission of the organization.
